Liability for content

As a service provider we are responsible for our own content on these pages under general law pursuant to § 7(1) TMG. Under §§ 8 to 10 TMG, however, we are not obliged as a service provider to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances indicating unlawful activity.

Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general law remain unaffected. Liability in this respect is, however, only possible from the point in time at which a concrete infringement becomes known. If we become aware of such infringements, we will remove the content in question immediately.

Responsibility for the content of documents

The details on a receipt come entirely from the issuer. recibo does not check them for substance; it calculates with the values entered and places them in the form.

The issuer alone is responsible for the accuracy, completeness and admissibility of a document issued — and equally for complying with the tax, commercial and record-keeping rules that apply to them.

No tax or legal advice

recibo is a writing tool, not an adviser. The stored tax rates, the switch for the German small business rule (§ 19 UStG), the mandatory note on the receipt and every explanatory text in the app are aids to data entry. They are not statements about what is correct in a specific case.

Whether a tax rate applies, whether the small business rule is available and whether an invoice rather than a receipt would have to be issued must, where in doubt, be checked with tax or legal advice.

Tax rates and statutory requirements

The rates stored in the app for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain and the United Kingdom reflect the position known to us. Rates and rules change; we give no warranty as to currency or completeness. A different rate can be entered by hand in the app at any time.

Not a point-of-sale system, not an archive

recibo is not accounting software, not a point-of-sale system within the meaning of the German Cash Register Anti-Tampering Ordinance, and not an audit-proof archive. Complying with retention periods and keeping documents safe long-term is the user's own responsibility.

Loss of data

Receipts and master data are held on the device. They are lost if the app is removed, the device is reset or the storage is cleared. Anyone using the sync additionally has a copy on the server — that too is no substitute for their own backup. We recommend keeping finished receipts outside the app.

Advertising

Advertising is shown in the free tier. The respective providers are responsible for its content; we do not review it.

Liability for links

Our pages contain links to external websites over whose content we have no influence. The respective provider is always responsible for them. No legal infringements were apparent at the time of linking. We remove such links promptly once we become aware of infringements.

Copyright

The content and works created by the site operators on these pages are subject to copyright law. Reproduction, editing, distribution and any kind of exploitation outside the limits of copyright require the written consent of the respective author or creator. Downloads and copies of this page are permitted for private, non-commercial use only.

Insofar as the content on this page was not created by the operator, the copyrights of third parties are respected. In particular, third-party content is identified as such. Should you nevertheless become aware of a copyright infringement, please let us know. If infringements become known, we will remove such content immediately.

Availability

We endeavour to keep the service available at all times but do not owe this. Maintenance work, technical faults and events beyond our control may lead to temporary restrictions. Details are set out in the sections “Availability & changes” and “Liability” of the Terms.
